American Guild of Organists Installation Service

Location: Sanctuary

Everyone is invited to a special worship service as the Portland Chapter of the American Guild of Organists (PAGO) will be holding their annual installation of officers service in the Sanctuary, followed by a chapter annual meeting.  RCPPC Pastor Liz Leavitt and former Pastor David Dornack will be leading the spoken aspects of the service, while our organist Heidi, Director of Music Zachary, and members of our choir will be helping to lead the multiple musical aspects.  There will be some wonderful music, as Heidi and Matthew Smith share music for organ-4-hands and organ-and-piano; the choral anthem was composed by local composer Scot Crandall and will also feature Marette Whitney on violin and First Presbyterian’s Greg Homza on cello.  Those being (re-)installed include Heidi and past substitutes Matthew Smith and James Walker.  The event is totally free and open to the public.  The service will also be live-streamed on the church’s YouTube channel and will also be available later on PAGO’s YouTube channel.
