Taizé Service of Healing & Wholeness

All are invited to a brief service on October 24th from 6-7pm in the chapel. For any who have feelings, anxieties, sadness or fear around the upcoming election, this is an invitation to come together and pray together: to ask for peace as the election approaches, to ask for protection for those involved such as election workers, to express our need for hope in the midst of so much uncertainty, and to pray for our country and its healing and restoration. Please note this service is not designed to engage particular political viewpoints but rather to hold the whole process in prayer. We will do some meditative singing together, read scriptures of hope and sit in a bit of silence together. 

If you’ve not participated in Taize before, know that it is a form of meditative singing, named after the monastic community in France where it originated. Here, short, simple songs, repeated again and again, become a form of prayer.
