April is Earth Month
‘Our Power, Our Planet’ is the theme for Earth Day 2025 which is also the 50th anniversary.  This year’s focus is on renewable energy which can fuel our future without causing further harm to the planet.  An additional focus is the reduction of plastics and elimination of single use plastic.  There is a lot of valuable information including these initiatives at https://action.earthday.org.

Some other actions you can take during April (and continue taking)
• Eat less meat and dairy
• Purchase paper products sourced from bamboo instead of trees
• Shop local and minimize online orders with delivery, such as Amazon
As consumers we have the power to effect the bottom line of businesses that are not earth friendly.

April 19: Earth Day activities at the Hollywood Farmer’s Market (please see Kate Sechrist if you would like to help)

April 22: Movie & Pizza (5:30-7:30pm in Fellowship Hall) showing of Gratitude Revealed (documentary that took 40 years to make exploring how we can live more meaningful lives full of gratitude).  Watch for sign up in April eblast.

April 27: All Church Hike, noon - 2pm, location TBD (more details coming soon in eblast)

April 29: EMO Interfaith Advocacy Day (includes Climate Health & Safety).
