Interfaith Alliance on Poverty First Thursday Meeting

RCPPC is proud to participate in The Interfaith Alliance on Poverty group, a faith-based community of congregations who seek to mitigate the injustices that cause poverty. Their diverse faith traditions stress social justice values. Together they work to educate ourselves and our neighbors, inspire all, and act for positive change.

The group holds First Thursday Meetings every month at 12pm on Zoom. The registration link and additional information is available at https://www.allianceonpoverty.org/

Three action teams make up the Interfaith Alliance on Poverty. These include

• A team focusing on Support to Families and Children
• A second team championing policies through Advocacy.
• A team that handles Communications within the Interfaith Alliance and with our Partners, our city and our region. Each team plays a critical role in helping fulfill our mission of alleviating poverty in the Portland, Oregon region.
