Warm Springs Service

Sunday, August 17, 2025
All Day
Location: Warm Springs Presbyterian Church
1141 Warm Springs St
Warm Springs, OR 97761
On August 17th, Pastor Liz will lead a morning Worship Service at Warm Springs Presbyterian Church, along with a team of RCPPCers and our organist Heidi Kohne. WSPC is a church in our Presbytery that has served the community on the Warm Springs Reservation for more than 150 years. Since they are without a pastor at this time, the WSPC congregation has invited ministers in the region to come and lead in worship but also to bring their congregations so that we can all worship together.
The Warm Springs Reservation is a 1,019 square mile area in north-central Oregon, governed by the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. It’s home to the Warm Springs, Wasco, and Paiute tribes, and is located about 100 miles southeast of Portland, with the town of Warm Springs being the largest community on the reservation. The reservation is known for its rich cultural heritage, including the preservation of languages like Chinook Jargon and Kiksht, Numu, and Ichishkiin Snwit. The majority of the 4,000 tribal members live in or near the town of Warm Springs.
Last summer, WSPC celebrated its 150th anniversary. Click here to see Rev. Brian Craker (Transitional Executive Presbyter of the Cascades Presbytery) and Rev. Beverly Crow discuss the two-day anniversary event.
Not headed East for this event? No problem! Folks worshipping as usual at RCPPC will be in good hands with Tori Field and Rev. Dennie Carcelli leading worship. Sunday school for kids and fellowship time afterward will round out a wonderful summer Sunday.
