Location: Rose City Park United Methodist Church, 5830 NE Alameda, Portland

The Sirens, a women’s vocal quartet, is presenting a benefit concert for the Oregon Food Bank and will feature pop music from the 1930s-1980s, many made famous by women’s groups. A free will offering will be received.

The Sirens, Jennifer Holman, Patricia Holman, Melissa Olmsted, and Kay Pettygrove are known for their tight harmony and high energy concerts of pop and Broadway tunes. Featured songs include, among others: I’m Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter and Love is Here to Stay from the 1930s, Chattanooga Choo-Choo and Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree from the 1940s, Stupid Cupid and Lipstick on your Collar from the 1950s, Blame It on the Bossa Nova and Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow from the 1960s, Candle on the Water from 1970s and The Winner Takes It All from 1980. The quartet is backed by Andrea Llafet on piano, Tim Uecker on guitar, Tom Phelps on bass guitar, and Scott Greer on percussion.
